Six teams compete within National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) and have the opportunity to earn seeds at regional playoffs and national tournaments. NCR crowns a national XV’s champion in December, and a national 7s champion in May.

Six teams compete under USA Rugby in the American Collegiate Rugby Association (ACRA) allowing the opportunity to earn a playoff spot and compete for a championship among other conferences in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Rugby Northeast hosts the Northeast D1 conference as associate members. These six Division I teams compete nationally in College Rugby Association of America (CRAA).

For teams that need support in their journey of rebuilding and developing a squad, Rugby Northeast promotes opportunities to learn and play the game with and against other programs at a similar level.
